Ann Koehn

4th Grade Teacher

In the spring of 1981, I graduated from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education.  In the fall of that same year I began teaching 3rd grade in Hoisington, Kansas.  I received a Masters of Arts degree in Elementary Education in May of 2007, from Friends University.  After 26 years in Hoisington,  I felt the need for a change, and decided to move closer to "home" - (having grown up on a dairy farm between Galva and Canton.)  In the fall of 2007, I accepted a 3rd grade position at Moundridge Elementary.  After teaching 3rd grade for two years, I taught 3rd and 4th grades as a team teacher.  When a fifth grade position became available at the elementary school, I was happy to take on the challenge, and have enjoyed that age level for the past 4 years.  This year I am excited to take on a new challenge - fourth grade.
