Due to weather-related postponements, the final 3 games for the Sacred Heart Baseball Regional will be played at Matson Field on Thursday, May 19.  

2:00pm    Moundridge vs. Sacred Heart

4:00pm    Bennington vs. Inman

6:00pm    Championship Game

**Matson Field is the first field located on the corner of East Crawford and Markley Road, just across from the Municipal Golf Course.

Due to multiple days of inclement weather, the Lady Wildcat Softball team will be in action on Wednesday, May 18.  The Lady Cats will be in action beginning at 3pm.  A first round win would put the Cats against Allen-Northern Heights at 6:45pm. Regional Championship game will be played on Thursday, May 19 at 5:00pm.

This afternoon's Regional 1st round game vs. Lebo is still on.  We'll keep you posted if something should change.  Go Cats!

The Kansas Associate of School Boards (KASB) announced their upcoming Advocacy Tour beginning on May 31.  According to the KASB website on Friday, May 13, the 2016 Advocacy Tour and Candidate Meetings will stop at 18 different locations in order to "offer school board members, administrators, teachers, parents, community members, media, candidates and incumbents a chance to learn about what is going on in Kansas schools."  

Those in attendance will be invited to "offer their views and concerns and propose legislative priorities and other policy positions for KASB."

The tour includes stops in the following locations:

June 1 - Hays

June 2 - Great Bend

June 6 - Emporia

June 6 - Clearwater

June 7 - Wichita

June 13 - Lawrence

June 13 - Kansas City

Congratulations to the Wildcat Baseball team as they advance to regional play on May 18 in Salina.  The Cats will face the winner of Canton-Galva/Salina Sacred Heart.  If the Cats win, they will advance to the Championship game scheduled for 6:00pm on May 18.  Good Luck Cats!

MS Track meet for 7th & 8th grade students at Cheney has been cancelled.  We will not be rescheduling this meet.  MS Track is back in action on Thursday at Goessel.

Baseball and Softball at Sedgwick has been postponed with a reschedule date TBD

HS Track meet at Moundridge (hosted by Canton-Galva) has been cancelled.  It will not  be rescheduled.



On Wednesday, April 6, 19 Moundridge High School students traveled to Bennington to compete in the annual League Art Contest.  Eight other schools participated with nearly 150 students in attendance. Each school is limited to bringing 20 kids and 50 artworks. Moundridge took 46 projects and earned 21 awards!!!  Out of those 21 ribbons:  7 were first place, 10 were second place and 4 were third place. The next event for Art Students will be attending the McPherson County art contest.

Mr. McDaniel's class has been busy playing in the mud this week.  Students have been working together to identify the differents part of the ecosystem.  This hands-on unit has been a real hit with students!

Congratulations to MHS teacher, Adam Robb, for being recognized as Outstanding Secondary Science Teacher by Kansas State University Chapter Sigma Xi.  Mr. Robb will be recognized in Manhattan for this award tomorrow.  #wildcatpride
