Powerschool is an important part of your student's education.  The Powerschool Parent Portal allows you as a parent/guardian to stay up-to-date on your student's assignments, attendance, and meal account balance.  Letters were sent home in September including important information to allow you to create your account and to link your account with your student(s).  Once you create your account, all of your students can be linked to this account.  There is also a mobile app that you can utilize after setting up your web account (contact Shelby for more information).

Shelby Graber will present during Parent/Teacher conferences on February 18, 2016 to answer questions about Powerschool and to help you create your accounts.  You may also contact her ahead of time at or 345-5500 ext. 301.  Our goal is to get all parents of USD 423 students active on Powerschool prior to the 2016-17 school year.

Thank you and GO WILDCATS!

(In order to create your Parent Account, you will need the Access ID and Access Password that were sent home at the beginning of the school year.  If you no longer have this information, please contact Shelby.)

MHS Spring Conferences are February 18, 2016. In the past, it has been an open come and go setting from 8:00am-8:00pm. This year, your student and their seminar teacher have been working together to update their Personal Plans of Study. Either your student’s seminar teacher or one of their classroom teachers will be contacting you personally to set up a conference time between 8am-8pm on the 18th to go over your student’s Personal Plan of Study with your student. The PPS conference will be approximately 15 minutes. Then you are encouraged to go around to other teachers’ classrooms if you have questions or concerns you would like to address with them.

In 2014, the Kansas State Department of Education strongly recommended to the State Board of Education that all districts implement individualized plans of study for students in grades 9-12. Moundridge High School listened to KSDE and began investigating and implementing Personal Plans of Study for all of its students.
